Professor Toshiaki Sugawara’s project was created as the graduation assignment for web courses Bangkok. To align with his teaching focus on Japanese classical literature, the UI was designed with elements that reflect his atmosphere. The site incorporates subtle touches such as traditional Japanese paper backgrounds and fonts, aiming to convey an elegant and refined feel.
Goal
A website serving as a portfolio for Professor Toshiaki S., listing and summarizing his experiences and achievements throughout his career. The site is designed to serve as a web-based alternative to a business card, presenting a comprehensive overview of his professional journey.
Approach
I created a clean and organized website by utilizing information listed within the university. The design focuses on simplicity for easy readability. Elements such as Japanese paper-inspired design and a straightforward layout were particularly emphasized to enhance the user interface.
Results
Looking back three years after its creation, I realize that the website, while simple, may lack a certain appeal. The Japanese paper-inspired design, instead of enhancing, has become a distracting element with its flickering effect. I now recognize the need for a complete overhaul and a fresh redesign moving forward.
